What we do, in five lines
- Manufacturing from the client's engineering drawing and specification
- CNC machining to tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre
- Skilled assembly, with joints glued, clamped and set by hand
- Finishing in a controlled spray environment
- Final inspection against the original specification, and sign-off

A word from our Director
"For thirty-five years we've been building speaker cabinets for the biggest names in professional audio. That kind of partnership only survives when the quality never drops."
Kathryn Bigwood Director

Test cuts prove the programme before a single production panel is committed: dimensions measured, edge quality inspected, and panel fit confirmed by dry-assembling a test unit.
Stage 1
Design and Programming
Every cabinet begins with the client's engineering drawing. We read it closely, question anything that will not build cleanly, and write the bespoke CNC programme that defines every cut before a single sheet is loaded. We do not originate the acoustic design.

Every sheet is inspected on arrival for delamination, moisture content, surface defects and dimensional accuracy. Sheets below our grading standard are rejected before they enter production.
Stage 2
Material Selection
A cabinet is only as good as the sheet it is cut from. Baltic Birch is sourced for its density, consistency, and acoustic integrity, then inspected, graded, and matched to the specification before it enters the workshop. Commodity plywood varies from sheet to sheet; Baltic Birch does not.

Feed rates, spindle speeds and tool selections are Sarivale's own, refined through thousands of production runs. Tools are changed on a schedule that prioritises cut quality over tool lifespan.
Stage 3
Machining and Shaping
The CNC routers execute what the programming stage defined. Baltic Birch is cut, routed, and shaped to tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre. A cabinet that is even marginally out of specification at machining will never recover that accuracy downstream. This is where thirty-five years of process refinement shows.

Our assemblers work from the engineering drawing, not from habit. Every brace position is checked before the adhesive sets, because moving a brace changes the acoustic properties of the enclosure.
Stage 4
Hand-Built Assembly
Machined panels become cabinets. Joints are glued, clamped, and set by hand, combining the accuracy of CNC machining with the judgement of experienced craftspeople. Internal bracing, driver mounting points, and port geometry are all assembled to the original specification.

Three sprayers with over forty years of combined experience between them apply several light coats in a controlled spray environment. Surface preparation before the first coat decides whether the rest holds.
Stage 5
Spray Shop
Coatings are selected to match the client's specification, from hard-wearing textured finishes for touring cabinets to high-gloss lacquers for installation work. The choice of primers, sealants, and topcoats is as considered as the choice of timber. Each cabinet receives multiple coats, with sanding between passes, in a controlled spray environment.

Finish quality is assessed under lighting chosen to reveal defects that are invisible in normal workshop light. Every cabinet is packed for the specific logistics chain it will enter.
Stage 6
Final Inspection and Dispatch
Every cabinet is inspected against the original specification before it leaves the workshop. Dimensions, finish quality, hardware fitment, and cosmetic standards are all checked. Cabinets are packed to survive freight and dispatched from Calne. Nothing leaves the workshop without sign-off.
"They never fail to deliver. The customer care, reliability, diligence and quality of the finished product is second to none."
